UMass Memorial Medical Group is pleased to offer Department of Transportation (DOT) certified medical examinations for commercial motor drivers (CMV) and for new drivers obtaining their commercial driver's license (CDL).
About the DOT Exam
A DOT physical examination is conducted by a licensed medical examiner who has completed training and has successfully passed a test on the new federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Program. A DOT physical exam is valid for up to 24 months.
DOT medical cards will be provided immediately after an examination, which consists of a:
- Review of your health history
- Urine test
- Physical exam
- $125 fee - Insurance is not accepted for DOT physicals and payment is due at the time of visit.
